1.) SYMPOSIUM ON PATHWAYS TO SUSTAINABLE SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT IN DELHI, PROGRAMME

Lokadhikar in collaboration with Centre for Studies in Science Policy (JNU), STEPS Centre (University of Sussex) and Vidhi Asra Motion Picture Pvt. Ltd. is organising a symposium titled "Pathways to Sustainable Solid Management in Delhi" on 16th March 2013 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Vishwa Yuva Kendra, Chankyapuri, New Delhi.

4.) MSW ISSUES IN DELHI

Delhi generates 9000 Metric Ton (MT) of Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) per day, which is projected to grow to 17000 MT per day by 2024. The present system of MSW Management in Delhi is the outcome of several policy interventions that began in the mid 1990s.
